Southampton Care Centre Receives A Special Gift

In the midst of COVID-19, it may be difficult, even for the most optimistic, to find the good in this global pandemic.  But one thing we have seen all over the world is that kindness is prevailing in uncertain times.

Right now, every kind act matters…big or small. Acts of kindness will make the world a happier place and will keep us together.

We’re so grateful we could help our community…

Southampton Care Centre of Jarlette Health Services received a special gift on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020.

Chris Sawyer, owner of Ontario Mould Specialists out of Tillsonburg, arrived with gloves, masks and sanitizers for the Care Centre.

“This is wonderful, said Administrator Brenda Ohm, “we will absolutely be able to use all of these items and are so appreciative for this.”

While PPEs are important to maintain health safety, Sawyer also made a financial donation to help with morale writing out a cheque for staff to use to order in special food.

“This is  about showing staff that they are key and it is also to help out local restaurants who have had to resort to take-out orders.”

Ohm says that residents are doing well thanks to the dedication of the staff.  “Our staff are ‘rock stars’!  They are working so diligently and sacrifice so much to keep everybody safe.  They are doing an amazing job to keep themselves, their families and our residents safe and healthy.  We so much appreciate this donation that we received today from Chris and his company.  These things will go a long way to keeping our staff well and safe.”
